Fusion Training and Development offer training programmes to companies and individuals in a wide range of areas. Currently on offer are certified programmes in Facilitation and Team Leadership Skills, Train the Trainer, Conflict Management and Resolution, Leadership in the Public and Private Sector, Effective Team Working and Personal Growth and Development.
Fusion also engage with organisations in clarifying issues of vision, strategy, future direction and in the area of Flourishing & Wellbeing.
Fusion’s programmes help people grow in skill, knowledge and confidence. The philosophy of Fusion is that if people are more at ease and accepting of themselves, they will inevitably flourish, feel more motivated and achieve more in their personal and working lives. They will be more at ease with others, and perform better in teams, their families and their community.
Fusion believe that people learn when they are actively involved in the learning process: as a result, all their programmes are interactive, participative, and dynamic. Fusion aim to generate understanding and knowledge rather than impart information.
Competitive advantage is gained by those that have the skills to connect with others and build relationships – this is easier said than done, and advanced people skills need to be honed, practiced and developed for any organisation whose business is people.
Gerard Fitzpatrick, the Managing Director of Fusion, has recently published his book Effective Group Leadership: Insights of a Practitioner (Orpen Press). Eighty thousand words in length and over two years in the writing, the book pulls togetheer all Gerard’s practical experience and theoretical knowledge.
Gerard has worked with a broad range of organisations across all sectors. He has found, whether working with graduates or the most marginalised, that the chief barriers to progression for most people are confidence and self-belief. These are issues all Fusion programmes address.
Bernadette McFadden joined Fusion in 2010. She trained with Dr Tony Humphreys in Peer Mentoring; she has studied Counselling and Psychotherapy in Cork Institute of Technology; she has also completed Diplomas in Mental Health and most recently in Addiction Studies, where she is currently training to be an Addiction Counsellor. She previously facilitated on Strengthening Families Programmes and has also worked in the field of sexual health promotion, and has considerable experience in working with people who suffer addiction issues. A strong advocate and model of lifelong learning, Bernadette has brought considerable energy and dynamism to our vision.
